How much can we really trust Google?

Google & Privacy: "It seems that most love Google; I used to love it too. But now I just like it, and I'm slightly concerned about them too." (link from Nothing in Particular)

Not being paranoid, but what information are you willing to trust Google with? I have only had one bad experience with personal information on the internet... But this is something to think about.
